This year, IOMP is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Among other initiatives, there is a plan to publish an issue of the MPI Journal History Edition dedicated to this anniversary. This special issue will have a section on women in medical physics which our subgroup should contribute to.
In view of this, I'm sending out this call for any willing contributors in order to put together an article about the current status of women's contributions towards professional and scientific advancements of medical physics.
The focus should be :
- on female leaders within IOMP committees and regional organisations,
- female editors of MP journals,
- female conference chairs (latest conferences),
- medical physics textbooks written / coordinated by females (there is a CRC press series on physics/medical physics we could mention), etc.
The deadline for this article is 7 May 2023
All are requested to sent the name and their contributions in any of the above arena with 3-4 lines.
